A drawing of Mars from the rear, wearing a helmet and seated on a cuirass. He holds a lance with both hands. In the right background the god is about to make love to a female, presumably Venus. It is likely that Muller was planning to make a series of engravings based on this group of drawngs (RL 12965-12968).
