A drawing of the crowded beach and dunes at Scheveningen. The standing figure of the king can be seen between the masts in the middle distance, to the left of centre. This drawing corresponds closely to one of three paintings of this subject by Linglebach. See also his painting in the Royal Collection (RCIN 404975). It served as the preparatory study for an anonymous engraving, published by Danker Danckerts in Amsterdam (Hollstein, V, p. 132, no. 44).
