A drawing of Westminster and the River Thames as seen from the terrace of Somerset House in London. As well as Westminster Bridge, the following buildings can be seen on the right bank of the river: St John's Church, the House of Commons, Westminster Abbey, and at the far right, the Banqueting House in Whitehall, and the tower of the Waterworks. This drawing is a companion to RL 7560. An oil painting by Canaletto of a similar view is in the Royal Collection (RCIN 400506). Another related oil painting is in the Yale Center for British Art, New Haven (B1976.7.97).
