This is an adaptation by a competent but unidentified artist of this part of Enoch Seeman's c. 1730 portrait of the Queen (OM 511, 406201), with alterations in the costume. The Queen is shown in a painted oval, wearing a dark green brocade dress pinned by a diamond brooch, with a crimson ermine-lined mantle; her long hair falling over her shoulder.
