Henrik Immanuel Wigström (1862-1923)
Field daisies 1903-08
Silver, gold, enamel, rose diamonds, nephrite | 7.5 x 5.5 cm (whole object) | RCIN 40211
-
Pot of three field daisies, heads of opaque white, pale pink and translucent pale green enamel with bronze-foiled rose diamond centres on green gold stalks above nephrite leaves; in silver enamelled terracotta flower pot with simulated soil. One of three examples of flower studies in the Royal Collection contained in a metal or hardstone vase, trough or pot rather than one of Fabergé’s usual rock crystal vases. It was therefore easier for the workmaster to add his mark.
Mark of Henrik Wigstrom; silver mark of 88 zolotniks (1896-1908); Fabergé in Cyrillic characters
