A smooth Samoyed in translucent pale and dark grey chalcedony with rose diamond eyes.
In 1899 Major Frederick G. Jackson presented the Princess of Wales (later Queen Alexandra) with Jacko, a Samoyed. Major Jackson had been leader of the Jackson-Harmsworth Expedition to Franz Josef Land in the Arctic between 1895 and 1898. This characterful portrait in chalcedony with rose diamond eyes almost certainly represents the famous dog.
