Photograph of HM The Queen (b.1926) riding on Tinkerbell, Princess Anne (b.1950) on Peter Pan and The Queen's granddaughter, Zara Phillips (b.1981) on Tiger Lily, with pink blossom trees in background, at Windsor. Three generations of horsewomen posed for this photograph at Windsor, taken to mark The Queen’s seventy-eighth birthday: The Queen on Tinkerbell; her daughter, The Princess Royal, on Peter Pan; and her granddaughter Zara Phillips on Tiger Lily. All three skewbalds were bred by The Queen, who is well known for breeding a wide range of horses and ponies, from thoroughbred racehorses to Highland ponies. Tinkerbell is the mother of both Peter Pan and Tiger Lily.
