Photograph of scattered seal pups lying on the shore in the foreground with the sea to the right of the photograph and rocky outcrops visible in the background. One of Hurley’s interests was photographing wildlife. The delay in departure caused by poor ice reports gave him the opportunity to photograph the many species that lived on South Georgia.
