Rectangular straight sided box with canted corners of rock crystal, lid engraved on underside with 'MF' (in Cyrillic) monogram of Tsarina Marie Feodorovna, hinged gold rim mounts on three sides with green and white guilloché enamel border and faceted topaz and ruby thumb-piece.
The Cyrillic cypher engraved on this box indicates that it belonged to Tsarina Marie Feodorovna.
