Full length marble statue of Psyche, standing with dagger.
Muller has captured the unfortunate instant when Psyche, tempted to discover her lover's identity who only visits her in the hours of darkness, holds an oil lamp close to Cupid. Unfortunately an oil drop falls on Cupid's face and wakes him up. Disappointed, he decides to abandon her.Provenance
