Royal Collection Trust's publishing programme is dedicated to creating the highest-quality books, exhibition catalogues and guides to celebrate the royal residences and works of art found within them, as well as scholarly catalogues raisonnés that demonstrate the best standards of academic research.

More recently Royal Collection Trust has moved into electronic publishing, producing apps and online versions of symposia and exhibition catalogues, and has created a list of children’s titles.

Recent accolades include the 2013 MGA Book of the Year Award for The Queen's Diamonds, the 2012 Design and Production Award, Best Use of Cross Media for Leonardo da Vinci: Anatomist, alongside the ipad app, Leonardo da Vinci: Anatomy, which also won the 2013 Webby Award, Education and Reference Tablet App and 2012 Lovie Award in the same category. The 2010 Design and Production Award, Exhibition Catalogue for the ‘stunning’ Leonardo da Vinci: The Mechanics of Man and Apollo magazine’s Book of the Year Award for the ‘monumental’ three-volume French Porcelain in the Collection of Her Majesty The Queen.

Souvenir guides of the royal residences are published in up to eight languages.
