Press visits

Press visits to the official residences of The Queen and The Queen’s Galleries in London and Edinburgh can be arranged through Royal Collection Trust's Press Office for media who review, feature or write on the arts and heritage.

Visits to Windsor Castle, the Palace of Holyroodhouse, the Summer Opening of Buckingham Palace and the Royal Mews must be arranged a minimum of 48 hours in advance by submitting a Press Visit Application Form to press@royalcollection.org.uk.  Please check the Visit pages for opening dates and times.  Your visit will be confirmed by a member of the Press Office.  Please note that we are unable to arrange access for media on the day.

Press tickets will be issued to card-carrying members of the media only.  If you do not hold a valid press card, please notify the Press Office when you submit your application so appropriate arrangements can be made.  Additional tickets can be purchased from the Visit pages of the website.

At The Queen's Galleries in London and Edinburgh, media do not need to pre-arrange their visit.  Complimentary access will be given on the day, on the production of a valid press card.  If you do not hold a valid press card, please notify the Press Office in advance.

Press photography is not permitted at any of the royal residences.  Details of how to obtain images can be found here.
