Christmas at Windsor Castle

From 7 December until 5 January 2007 (Twelfth Night), visitors to Windsor Castle can enjoy a dazzling Christmas display of Victorian silver on the     50ft-long dining table in the Waterloo Chamber.  The centrepiece of the arrangement is a spectacular dinner service, reassembled for the first time in over 50 years.  Made in 1862 by the firm of royal goldsmiths,         Garrard & Co., and quintessentially Victorian in taste, it includes silver statuettes of Queen Victoria, Britannia, King Arthur and St George, candelabra celebrating the Arts and Sciences, and grand tureens and dessert s ... The Queen's dolls go on display

Dolls given to Her Majesty The Queen throughout her life will be shown at Frogmore House near Windsor Castle from 16 May.  The centrepiece of the display is a charming doll presented in 1930 and played with by Princess Elizabeth when she was very young.
