His dazzling paintings and lively drawings have fixed the 18th-century city of canals, palaces, churches and squares in the popular imagination. The Queen's dolls go on display

Dolls given to Her Majesty The Queen throughout her life will be shown at Frogmore House near Windsor Castle from 16 May.  The centrepiece of the display is a charming doll presented in 1930 and played with by Princess Elizabeth when she was very young.
