This special tour of Scotland’s official residence of The King highlights both Holyrood’s dramatic past and the Palace’s important role today.
In the company of an expert guide, your tour begins in the gardens of the Palace of Holyroodhouse, where you will hear the fascinating history of the Palace grounds from the 14th century to the present day.
You will enjoy a private tour of the State Apartments once the Palace is closed to visitors for the day. Tours offer a unique opportunity to go behind the ropes in selected rooms and into the West Drawing Room, used by members of the Royal Family as a private sitting room and not normally open to the public. It is among the most beautiful rooms in the Palace and boasts one of the finest 17th-century plasterwork ceilings.
Evening tours finish with a glass of champagne and a complimentary guide book.
Tickets must be pre-booked. There is limited availability, with a maximum number of 25 places on each tour.
